What is NASSCOM?
NASSCOM stands for National Association of Software and Service Companies. It is the premier trade body and the chamber of commerce for the IT software and services industry in India. NASSCOM is a truly global trade body with around 850 members, of which nearly 150 are global companies from the US, UK, EU, Japan and China. NASSCOM’s member companies are in the business of software development, software services, and IT-enabled/BPO services.
What NASSCOM says?
The much quoted Nasscom-McKinsey report has set a target of US$ 50 billion of annual IT software and services exports by 2008. In addition India centric companies are expected to earn revenues of US$ 12 billion by 2008.

What is the basic qualification that one needs to have to be eligible for MCA entrance exams?
The basic eligibility criterion is that the candidate must be a graduate and must have passed 10 + 2 std with maths (although some of the universities do not require this)
How to get admission in MCA?
To get admission into MCA you are supposed to clear an entrance exam.Depending upon your rank and availability of seats you get admission into the course
Is prior knowledge of computers essential before joining any MCA programme?
A basic knowledge of computers is desirable although not an essential condition to join any programme. In fact entrance exams have computers as one of the test areas, but the level of questions asked is very basic and so a prospective candidate need not worry too much
Do students with mathematics background get an edge over other students?
As entrance exam comprises mainly of mathematics, aspirants must be proficient in mathematics. Students with mathematics background are psychologically stronger than others but there’s not much difference in knowledge. Do Hindi medium students face any difficulty in preparing for the entrance exam?
